Having a fridge on board, or even a cool box can transform the comfort you feel when out on the water - knowing you can reach for a cool drink or that your food is fresh. Having a fridge on board can be the single biggest drain of battery power, so be sure when you're considering an installation to check out a main rectifier - these allow any compressor fridge installed to switch automatically between battery power to mains power when you plug back in at a marina.
