Radar Reflectors

Radar reflectors are metallic devices that help small boats show up on the radar screens of larger boats.  Small boats, particularly those made of not metallic material such as GRP don't return the best echo, if any at all, when scanned by RADAR.

To maximise their visibility to ships navigating using radar as a primary means of identifying potential hazards, including collision situations, boats can be fitted with a radar reflector.
